Why We Give We believe that God calls us to offer all of who we are back to God in an act of worship. This includes our time, our talent, our witness, and our financial resources. Because the Lord has been generous and loving towards us, we too strive to live in radically generous and loving ways. Furthermore, we believe that throughout the scriptures, the people of God are called to an alternative way of stewarding their finances (Deut. 14:22-29, Lk. 12:13-21, 2 Cor. 8:1-12). Our acts of generosity serve as an act of resistance to the ways of greed in our world, a prayer for the poor and those in need, and an invitation for God to change our priorities when it comes to money. We invite you to prayerfully reflect and consider what an act of generosity could look like by exploring the options below.

We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is within the ancestral territory of the suq̀ʷabš “People of Clear Salt Water” (Suquamish People). Expert fishermen, canoe builders, and basket weavers, the suq̀ʷabš live in harmony with the lands and waterways along Washington’s Central Salish Sea as they have for thousands of years. Here, the suq̀ʷabš live and protect the land and waters of their ancestors for future generations as promised by the Point Elliot Treaty of 1855.
